Project Due NOV 6th
Technical Objectives: To gain an understanding of digital composite process using multiple images. Apply hi-resolution print process. Students must use at least five images for this project. One image must be an original student photograph.
Conceptual: To introduce the element of “Appropriation and Erasure” to the production of digital imagery
Overview: Your challenge is to create a series of images from a collection of appropriated and original photographs exploring the concept of Altered Histories and Erasure creating new perspectives of history and aesthetics. This project will explore digital research practice challenging students to critically engage public digital archives.

Step 1: Explore Public Archives
Step 2: Select a historic narrative you would like to reenforce, alter, or challenge
Step 3: Collect images from archives and shoot your own photographs
Step 4: Remember to keep a running site list for the image you use from public archives.
Step 5: Start designing your project
Step 6: Remember to save as .psd as you work
Step 7: Prep images for web viewing (.jpg) and printing (.tiff)
